Loving October

There’s so much to love about October. My body finally gets that fall is in the air so I may as well embrace it. The leaves are vibrant in their farewell tour to the earth. Apples are ready to be plucked and cut into pies, pulped into cider, or chomped right off the tree. Houses are decorated and pumpkins carved into creative faces as their seeds toasted to crunchy perfection.

Many in my family have October birthdays. Me of course! My sister, mom, twin nephews, both my boys, and many friends.

October is filled with celebration, tradition, and that internal shift to comforting, warm foods. It’s a month of remembrance for those we lost. Life exists among the highs and lows. October reminds us to enjoy the blessings and let go of what no longer serves us.

  • What do you love about the month of October?

  • What have you enjoyed this month that’s on that Love List?

  • What do you still want to bring into the month?

  • Do you enjoy Halloween?

  • What are your Halloween traditions?

  • Will you dress up? What’s your costume?

  • How do you decorate? Cute and Sweet? Or Creepy and Scary?

  • What’s your go to candy? Do you buy what you like so you can enjoy the leftovers or what you don’t like so you don’t eat it!

Share your October joys and your Halloween stories!
