Spring brings that shift from slowing down and hibernating to bursting forth with energy and vibrancy. It’s a time of big clearing and caring for me: Energetically and Physically, in order to see what I want to grow and foster from now until the end of summer. What I intend as the days get longer nourishes what I’m called to care for over the next five months.

Energetically: Each morning I tune into my energy, see what’s stuck, swirling, cranky, or vibrant. I set my intention on what I desire to manifest, need support with, would like to let go, and bring in. I do this all year long but the change in seasons shifts the focus. FYI–my daily intentions have expanded wonderfully due to energy healing training I’ve done with my Reiki Master teacher, Kelly M. Ballard

This spring, I’m creating spaces that nourish the heart, in order to connect with my authentic self and foster connection, healing, kindness, and care for myself and others.

Physically: Spring brings that shift from heavier, hot meals to light, fresh fruits and vegetables, shakes and smoothies. I tune into what my body needs for optimum health and growth. I automatically crave to be outside so walking and biking become a part of my routine. I extend this clearing to my physical space. Going through each room in my home, drawers, cabinets, storage shelves to remove what I haven’t used or no longer serves me. When I create all this space my creativity expands and I plant seeds in my imagination.

Caring: Now that I’ve opened my energetic and physical space, I see possibilities! What ideas are sprouting; what space am I called to expand, nourish, or let rest. It’s such an exciting time of exploration, curiosity, and wonder.

Spring Clearing Prompts:

Energetically:

  • What do you desire to do in your day/month/season?

  • What kind of support do you need?

  • Who can provide some support?

  • What are you wishing to let go?

  • What no longer serves you in this season?

  • What are you calling in, bringing to your space, opening?

  • How do you feel?

Physically:

  • How is your body shifting into the season?

  • What type of movement are you called to?

  • What nourishment is your body craving?

  • What are you releasing that feels heavy, no longer useful at this time?

  • Where in your home/work can you create physical space?

  • What can you remove that you don’t need/want?

  • How can you remove it? donate, sell, recycle?

  • How do you feel?

Caring for:

  • What are you being called to grow?

  • What space has opened up, needs expanding, nourishment, rest?

  • What are you exploring, anticipating, imagining?

  • What do you see growing over the next five months?

By taking the time to clear, tend, and nourish what you want to grow, you’ll reap the benefits and you will bloom.
